Terms of Service

The operator should have these terms reviewed, and set the governing law and liability limit that apply to them, before relying on them.

  1. Service. Papercliped relays requests from an AI app you connect to a Paperclip you own or are authorised to manage. It is a beta, provided "as is", without warranties. Availability is not guaranteed, and it may sleep or restart.
  2. Your responsibility. Connect only Paperclip instances you are authorised to control. You are responsible for what you allow the AI app to do. Start with Read only. Full control (beta) lets the AI app change things in your Paperclip, and Admin can also decide approvals, change budgets and terminate agents. Actions taken through your connection are yours.
  3. Your account and secret key. Keep your secret key private. Anyone who has it can sign in to your account and use your connection. If you lose it, reconnect through your Paperclip to create a new one.
  4. Credentials. Approving a connection issues a Paperclip access key to the service with the access your Paperclip account has. Treat it like any credential: revoke it in Paperclip if unsure, and prefer a dedicated Paperclip account.
  5. Acceptable use. No attacking, scanning or overloading other systems through the service; no connecting addresses you do not control; no circumventing rate limits or security controls; no impersonating other people through usernames. We may suspend or revoke accounts and connections that break these rules or threaten the service.
  6. Limits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for actions an AI app takes on your Paperclip.
  7. Changes and ending. We may change or discontinue the service, with notice where possible. You can stop at any time by disconnecting and revoking the key.
